Product description

The Panobook in a few words...

The Kolor Panobook is the world’s biggest contest of panoramic photography leading to the publication of a beautiful hardcover book! Hundreds of amateur and professional photographers join this contest every year for a chance to be published into the book and maybe become Kolor’s panoramic photographer of the year.

The Panobook 2015 depicts the beauty that surrounds us, from touristy areas to the most remote places. Perfectly mastered techniques, to new innovative styles, with hidden photographers revealing their talents; combining self-portrait with panorama.

It reflects the evolution of our world and the vestiges of our shared history. Above all, it reveals the different aesthetics and feelings that drive each of us. Iurie Belegurschi, Colby Brown and Vincent Favre have chosen 150 exceptional panoramas from the 2800 entries this year. The doubling of entries from the year before shows the growing popularity of our competition and the continuing interest in panoramic images.

We thank them warmly for their artistic appreciation and expertise in making their selection for publication in the book.

Jury member #1: Colby Brown

Colby Brown is a professional photographer, photo educator and author based out of Denver, Colorado. He specializes in landscape, travel and humanitarian photography. Throughout his work one can see that he combines his love of the natural world with his fascination of the world’s diverse cultures.

Regarding the contest

"I am a fan of Kolor and panoramas and I think this would be fun." Have a look at Colby's website

Jury member #2: Iurie Belegurschi

Iurie Belegurschi is a landscape photographer based in Iceland, where he runs photo tours and workshops. Iurie’s two main passions in life are photography and travelling. He is a big fan of winterscapes and night photography, with the latter being his most desired activity. Capturing starry nights and the elusive Aurora Borealis is something that gives him a sense of fulfilment and peace. Living in Iceland and having this interest, is a match made in heaven. Iurie is also co-founded the hugely popular Guide To Iceland platform. This website is the go-to website for all things related to Icelandic tourism.

Regarding the contest

"It’s a huge honour and a big responsibility for me to be part of jury team in this amazing photo contest."

Jury member #3 : Vincent Favre

Vincent Favre is a French photographer fascinated by the Nordic mountainous environment and ambiance, and specialises in landscape photography

Regarding the contest

"Evaluate the work of other photographers was a difficult and subjective task. However, I have been sensitive to emotions conveyed by photographs. Panoramic photography requires a great ability to anticipate the balance of the composition after stitching, it is something that has been crucial to gain genuine individuality and distinction."
